Our social media followers recently joined the the Delaware State Parks marketing team for an InstaMeet at Delaware Seashore State Park. What is an InstaMeet? These free events (with paid park admission) allow our State Parks social media community the opportunity to come together and enjoy our parks! Complete with a beach bonfire and smores, for our latest outing, we invited our @DEStateParks followers the opportunity to join us for a hike across the Charles W. Cullen Bridge (more affectionately known as the Indian River Inlet Bridge) with time to catch some photos of the sunset from the top of the pedestrian walkway. Here are some of the great shots captured by attendees.
Our time at Delaware Seashore State Park started with a hike across the Charles W. Cullen Bridge.
After learning about some of the history of bridges over the Inlet from park interpreters, we took time to stop at the top of the pedestrian walkway and enjoy the sunset as well as the sweeping views of Delaware Seashore State Park.
After a few photos from atop the bridge, the group made their way to the beach for a beach bonfire and s’mores!
For the month of October, the Indian River Inlet Bridge is lit in pink in support of breast cancer awareness. Can you spot the Little Dipper just to the right of the bridge?
Keep an eye on Delaware State Parks social media sites for info on our next InstaMeet. If you couldn’t make it this time around, you can still join the conversation and share your adventures in Delaware State Parks by using the hashtag #DEStateParks. We love to see what our guests are up to and may even feature your photo!
